About this template

Decode an original black-and-white image from alternating run lengths. Every row begins with a white run, including a leading zero when its first cell is black; all later runs are positive. An eight-cell worked row demonstrates 0, 2, 3, 3. Starter reveals a six-by-six heart and asks the child to encode one supplied row. Growing reveals an eight-by-eight rocket and provides four blank eight-cell rows for an original picture and partner code. Every supplied run list exactly fills its row. The separate key shows the decoded picture and closed encoding answer; original partner pictures have no fixed answer.
