About this template

Print an original card on light card stock, fold it, cut equal slits inward from the folded edge and reverse the projecting strip. Four illustrated assembly steps distinguish solid cuts, dashed folds and gray glue areas. Starter has one tree support; Growing has separate flower and tree supports with different depths. Attach each figure only at its gray foot, with the foot on the lower support hinge. The side view shows the card open at a right angle. The geometry closes within the card and keeps the two figures apart. Adults assist with cutting; physical assembly has not been trialed. Decoration is open, so no answer key is needed.
