About this template

Predict, gently place an object in a shallow water tray, then record whether it floats or sinks. Starter offers a metal spoon, wood block, dry sponge and foil ball, with separate prediction and observation circles. Growing compares a ball and boat reshaped from the same untrimmed foil piece, with three trials per shape. The tray and placement stay the same while shape changes. Real objects and water conditions differ; the sheet provides no predetermined result key. An adult supervises the shallow tray.
